Horrible (cocky) administration/dean in the WORST part of the island. Tuition cost for the education and location just doesnt make any sense. Go to any other place than here as its a waste of money but more importantly a waste of your time and life.

This school is a joke. Don't be tempted by the accreditation or the low tuition. That's how they trick you to apply. This is not the place to go if your goal is to become a legitimate doctor in four years. Instead, go here if you want to visit St Kitts & Nevis and/or if you want to waste your time and money. This school will literally accept ANYBODY. You could be a bum one day then take your pre-req's and get all C's the next day and MUA will gladly accept you with the promise that you too can become an MD lol. That's not how it works. You need to be an EXCELLENT student to become a doctor. Not that it's a requirement but how else are you supposed to pass all the exams? MUA's curriculum is set up to fail you. No other US medical school uses a similar curriculum with mandatory attendance and almost 30 credits a term; it's insane. St. George's curriculum is very different than MUA and I suspect that is one reason as to why their students have more success down this path at least during basic sciences. Administration on and off the island is a joke. All those characters are their for name sake only. I like to think of MUA as hell on earth in the Caribbean. I personally quit their program but I have classmates who made it through the five terms and are stuck because they can't pass the comp shelf. Here's my HONEST advice based on a variety of factors including the current climate of IMG's. Seriously try to get into a US or Canadian school using whatever means necessary even if it takes you a few extra years. If you honestly don't have the numbers, either ask yourself why you want to become a doctor in the first place and why you can't get those numbers. Not everybody is meant to be a doctor and you need to grow up and accept that. MUA and similar schools exist because of people that CAN'T accept that. If you still want to go down this path, go to SGU. SGU has higher passing requirements than MUA but if you do well at SGU and STEP1 and 2, you will become a doctor somewhere...probably primary care but you WILL become a doctor. I'm actually very surprised the USDOE is not investigating MUA. When I was there, More than half of the incoming class did not make it to med 5. A US school would be shut down by the LCME with that type of progress. Can't do anything when the school is in Nevis though. Think about it long and hard. MUA is a ticket to a statistical dead end.

Overly priced, POOR teaching, and i mean very poor in middle of nowhere for HIGH tuition, thus i had to leave and go to another med school. DON'T BE FOOLED BY "California/NY Accreditation" as it DOESN'T MATTER and they are just MARKETING SCHEMES to increase tuition. IMG is an IMG and those things don't matter as California BARELY accepts IMG's (ONLY 27 (!!) accepted in 2017). And for NY, you don't need accreditation as long as you know what you are doing. Do your own research, and if you are a hard worker (which you have to be" avoid this place and go somewhere else.

Worst school possible they are teaching students things that are over 5 years old. Standards of admission are different for students than it is for hiring of management. When a student attempts to leave the school they will make it impossible for them to leave the school they will deny it every day in an attempt to keep the money they took from the student. Sometimes they dismiss for "some reason" and just keep > 90% most of the money and make room for someone. Pathetic waste of money, space and a shame to the medical profession.

Very poor administration and quality of teaching (almost non-existent) especially compared to its costs. I was deeply saddened after i learned their residency list consists mostly of people who has graduated and worked/researched for several years after graduation to secure their spot in residency. Thus, disregard USMLE pass rate as all my friends in upper classes unfortunately received low scores as they barely passed probably ruining their future with great debt. Glad to be transferred out to a lot better school that is honest as this school is just all about business.
