  When we first arrived on Nevis, we took a great tour around the island to explore. One of the stops was the Golden Rock Plantation Inn. My wife and I were looking around...the place is very lush and has great views. Everyone we met in Nevis was incredibly friendly and helpful...that is, everywhere except this inn. No one seemed very friendly. We were checking out the gardens and one of the guests of the hotel said we should go check out the pool. They told us to go up the hill past the guests only sign. We justified this because we were planning on coming back for lunch the next day, and if we liked the looks of it, we could stay there on our next trip to Nevis, plus one of the guests had urged us to go see it. However, we were stopped by a woman (possibly the manager) who asked if we were guests. We said we were on a tour and just checking out the place. She told us "because you aren't paying to stay here you are of no benefit to us." That's a direct quote. Wow! I cannot imagine saying that to anyone. I get it...guests want their privacy, but she said something about or taking pictures of people while they were in their rooms. Her attitude was pretentious. It was completely inappropriate and totally turned us off to the whole place. We decided to do lunch elsewhere. And we will definitely never be staying here in the future.

  Visited this place as a part of our shore excursion with Royal Caribbean! Absolutely breathtaking and very historical. Bring a good camera to capture their beautiful nature!
